Our Story

A family farm that became a second home for horses and riders

StirrupRidge started as a 40-acre family farm in 1999 with two lesson ponies and a dozen borrowed stalls. Twenty-five years later, we care for more than forty horses and teach riders of every age — but we still run the place like a family farm: open gates, honest advice and horses that know they are home.

  • Certified, insured riding instructors
  • Daily care logs and text updates for boarders
  • Safe, rotationally grazed pastures and well-kept fencing

Testimonials

What riders and boarders say

Real words from the people who trust us with their horses.

StirrupRidge gave my mare the best home she has ever had. The barn team sends photos, notices every change, and the pastures are beautiful. I sleep easy knowing she is this well cared for.

Margaret H.

Full-care boarder

I started lessons at 40 with zero horse experience. My instructor is patient, structured and celebrates every little win. Eight months in, I am cantering on trail rides.

Dale R.

Adult lesson rider

They retrained my off-track Thoroughbred when three other trainers said he was a lost cause. Eight months later he is calm, soft and sound — and now he is a lesson horse.

Priya & Sam T.

Training clients

The summer camp was the highlight of my daughter's year. She came home beaming, covered in shavings, and could tack up a horse by herself by Friday.

Carol W.

Camp parent

Show day with StirrupRidge is effortless. Hauling, braiding, warm-up — all handled. We walk into the ring polished and calm, and the results show it.
